April 28, 2014—China-Gel Inc., the producer of the herbal topical pain reliever, welcomed Alan Sokoloff, DC, DACBSP, onto its educational team. In upcoming seminars, Sokoloff will speak to the needs of chiropractors that desire to work in a sports medical environment. He will address issues such as how to get involved with teams, how to stay involved, and the skills and procedures necessary to be successful.
“We are delighted to include such an accomplished chiropractor on our team,” said Justin Toups, Marketing Manager, China-Gel. “Sokoloff’s experience with treating professional and amateur athletes, coupled with the wisdom acquired from managing the relationships with the players and medical staff, will be a great benefit for the chiropractors who participate.”
Sokoloff has been a team chiropractor for the Baltimore Ravens since 1999 and has been with the team for two Super Bowl victories. “I am happy to partner with a company that supports chiropractic like China-Gel. I appreciate the product they produce, and how it helps me to treat patients and athletes,” said Sokoloff. “I have treated athletes at all levels, and my goal is to use that experience to help chiropractors realize their dreams to work with a team.”
Sokoloff serves as a team chiropractor for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. He is the past 2 term president of the Maryland Chiropractic Association. He was selected as Maryland’s Chiropractor of the Year 2001-2 and the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physician’s Sports Chiropractor of the Year 2006. He holds a post-graduate degree as a Diplomat of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and is an alumnus of Palmer Davenport.
Sokoloff has been a member of the University of Maryland Sports Medicine Team since 1991, working with the UMBC Retrievers and Maryland Terrapins. He served a residency at the United States Olympic Training Center in the summer of 1997 and was selected to the medical team for the United States at the 1998 Goodwill Games. Sokoloff was appointed to the USA Olympic Medical Team for the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, Canada. He is also the team chiropractor for the Baltimore Orioles AA Team in Bowie, MD. Sokoloff is a “wellness / injury prevention consultant” for many companies and municipalities. He has also written and helped produce a series of award winning injury prevention videos for the Library Video Network. He recently completed his first in a series of concussion prevention DVDs, Tackling Concussion Head On, starring NFL, college, and high school guests.
