June 10, 2008 — Gert Bronfort, DC, PhD, has been promoted to vice president of research at Northwestern Health Sciences University. Bronfort, previously the associate vice president for research at Northwestern, has built an international reputation in natural healthcare research during the last two decades.
“Research is a core component of this institution, and its importance needs to be recognized at the appropriate level,” said Mark Zeigler, DC, in announcing Bronfort’s new position.
In his new position, Bronfort will work with Zeigler, the faculty and staff of the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies to facilitate the advancement of the university’s mission and strategic plan with special focus on the design, conduct, integration, and application of research-related programs to optimize evidence informed healthcare education and practice.
