August 4, 2013 — Chiropractors and patients can now benchmark and track postural changes with the new free PostureZone app for iPhone and iPad. The app measures head, torso, and pelvis deviation from centerline using the PostureZone model taught by Steven Weiniger, DC, author of Stand Taller ~ Live Longer.
As people increasingly spend their time hunched over keyboards and phones, the app raises posture awareness by literally showing people how their postural alignment stacks up. Patients are engaged by the unique PostureZone pictures graphics showing improvement, or decline, in postural balance and symmetry from front, back, and side views.
Facebook and Twitter integration encourages users to share, compare, and promote the importance of posture with friends and family. Clinical posture professionals will appreciate the integrated level, accurate to within a degree. PostureZone also offers an optional one-time upgrade for professionals that adds case management, zoom, and videos for creating a PosturePractice.
PostureZone is free and available worldwide exclusively through the iTunes App Store. The PostureZone app requires iOS 6 and iPhone 3GS or iPod Touch 3G and newer, and can be downloaded to any camera equipped iPad to run in iPhone compatibility mode.
