beYogi Launches New Online Magazine for Yoga Teachers

Chiropractic Economics February 3, 2015

Beyogi_banner1_336x280_proof2beYogi.com is pleased to announce the launch of its new online yoga magazine, which offers guidance and professional resources to aspiring and working yoga professionals.

February 3, 2015 — beYogi, the long-awaited online yoga magazine produced by the makers of MASSAGE Magazine and Chiropractic Economics, launched early Sunday morning. The website, beyogi.com, offers guidance and professional resources to support those in the yoga community at every step of their journey to learn, teach and live yoga—from student to studio owner and everyone in between.

While the site covers everything from the basics of yoga to advanced yogic philosophy, beYogi primarily targets aspiring and working yoga teachers, as denoted by its mission statement: “Awakening the great teacher in you.” To accomplish this, the digital publication offers valuable yoga teaching techniques, yoga anatomy resources, class planning and sequencing recommendations, business tips and more.

“We have all encountered someone who inspired us, offered us hope or simply opened our eyes to possibility—whether in school, at a studio or in random passing,” said Eleni Angelopoulos, beYogi’s digital content editor. “That is the role of the yoga teacher: to inspire. It’s a daunting but inimitable task that we want to awaken in others, so that they may go on and share their love of yoga with the world.”

beYogi brings a contemporary edge to the professional yogi, offering creative inspiration for yoga class themes, sequences and playlists, in addition to accessible advice on anatomy, digital marketing and industry guidelines. For aspiring instructors, the site offers an insider’s guide to yoga teacher training, which includes articles about the various yoga styles and training programs, as well as resources to guide trainees through certification.

The publication’s panel of writers comprises seasoned yoga teachers, therapists, trainers, published authors and industry-renowned entrepreneurs, such as YogaFit Founder Beth Shaw. Each contributing author provides a different lens to the art of teaching yoga and integrates their unique experience and area of professional expertise. While Tristan Gatto, a physical therapist and yoga anatomy educator, illuminates the fundamental body principles underlying asana (posture) techniques; Julie Bernier, an Ayurvedic wellness educator and hatha yoga teacher, draws on the relationship between yoga and its sister science, Ayurveda.

Readers can subscribe to receive the best of beYogi via a monthly newsletter, which features the latest informative and inspiring content for yogis, along with exclusive offers and product giveaways. They may also connect with the beYogi Tribe on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In celebration of its launch, beYogi has teamed up with YogaFit to host a gratitude giveaway for yoga teachers during the month of February. The winner will receive a YogaFit Level 1 teacher training, plus a signed copy of Beth Shaw’s new book, YOGALEAN. Simply visit beyogi.com/giveaway and fill out the brief entry form for your chance to win.
