August Point Wellness releases trigger point massage tool

Chiropractic Economics Staff November 26, 2012

November 26, 2012 — August Point Wellness recently announced the release of the Sciaticare Ball, a trigger point massage therapy device, acupressure tool, and rehabilitation apparatus for those suffering from muscular issues that cause pain.

“It’s incredibly simple and intuitive. More importantly, the Sciaticare Ball can be used just about anywhere,” said Dylan Jawahir, LAc, LMT, and the inventor of the Sciaticare Ball.

The Sciaticare Ball is designed to help assist physical therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, yoga teachers, pilates instructors, and other medical and fitness personnel in providing additional therapeutic care. Both conventional and alternative medicine practitioners should view the patient’s use of the Sciaticare Ball as a key component of a comprehensive patient treatment plan.

Developed by Jawahir, the Sciaticare Ball was designed to be seamlessly integrated into anyone’s lifestyle. The durable, compact design allows the ball to be used on long airplane flights, extended car rides, or at the office. The Sciaticare Ball not only treats sciatic pain, but also neck, shoulder, back, elbow, hip, knee, and foot pain.  The handle and cord eases placement of the ball between a flat surface and the sufferer’s trigger point. The handle also gives the user an option to use the Sciaticare Ball in a standing, seated, or lying position.

“The goal of the Sciaticare Ball is to encourage people to actively participate in their own health and pain management. If we can do that, then we’ve done something far beyond just selling a product,” said Jawahir.
