American Chiropractic Association, AXA Equitable partner to benefit members and employees

Chiropractic Economics September 14, 2011

September 14, 2011 — The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) today announced the addition of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company to its line-up of affinity partners. AXA Equitable has been in the association retirement program business for more than 40 years, and is the association’s exclusive partner in retirement planning for members.

AXA Equitable’s Members Retirement Program (MRP) can provide busy doctors of chiropractic with a “turn-key” program that provides retirement benefit plans for their staff members — and themselves.

“Many doctors of chiropractic balance the challenges of providing outstanding patient care with running a business — including providing benefits to their staff members,” said ACA President Rick McMichael, DC. “ACA’s affinity partnership with AXA Equitable will help our members meet the challenges of retirement planning.”

AXA Equitable offers comprehensive, bundled retirement plan services to ACA members that are usually reserved for large corporate plans. These services make plan administration easier, less time-consuming and more cost-effective.

“Since 1968, AXA Equitable has been helping small business owners reach their retirement planning goals in a cost-effective manner,” said Santo LoPorto, vice president, AXA Equitable’s Members Retirement Program. “Providing a retirement plan can help small businesses reward and retain their valuable employees, and we are excited about the opportunity to work with more doctors of chiropractic as a result of our partnership with ACA.”

The range of services available from AXA Equitable includes:

Consultative Plan Education and Design. The company offers plan design recommendations and implementation, as well as plan transition, conversion, and installation services.

Plan Administration and Compliance. AXA Equitable offers full plan administration, including trust and custodial services, plan documentation and updates, and plan and participant recordkeeping and reporting. AXA Equitable also provides compliance testing services, distribution and disbursement services, and loan and administration services.

Account Information and Communications. AXA Equitable provides plan sponsor and participants account information through custom websites and an automated voice-response telephone service available 24/7. Additionally, the company provides comprehensive quarterly participant account statements and an ongoing employee education program to help employees take greater control of their retirement.

Investment Services. The Members Retirement Program offers a full range of diversified investment options and strategies for different investment styles and risk appetites, accommodating beginners and sophisticated investors. AXA Equitable selects and monitors the investment choices from well-known fund families representing all major investment categories.

Additionally, the company will provide a participant review of the investment options available, as well as education guides to help employees make informed allocation choices based on their retirement objectives, risk tolerance and time horizon.
