ACA’s Local Liaison Program continues to grow, fight for chiropractic

Chiropractic Economics August 17, 2010

August 17, 2010 — As of July, the American Chiropractic Association’s Local Liaison Program (LLP) has added the following states to its roster: Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Ohio as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands. There are currently 21 participating states in the LLP.

The LLP arose from the need to collaborate on state-specific insurance-related issues. With that in mind, each state that participates in the LLP has an appointed ACA member DC who works as a liaison with ACA staff, leadership and participating state organizations on the state’s unique insurance challenges.

Additionally, state-specific insurance handbooks are being developed for states that participate in the LLP. Each insurance handbook will include information that will assist ACA members in navigating their respective state’s insurance laws, appeals processes and more. If you are interested in knowing whether your state has a liaison, or if you have any other questions about the LLP, please e-mail LLPinfo@acatoday.org.
