Center for Credentialing and Education approves Board Certified Coaching designation for Life University's psychology degrees

Chiropractic Economics Staff August 6, 2014

life-universityAugust 6, 2014 — Life University is proud to announce a recent honor bestowed upon its psychology department, as it has been designated by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) as an Approved Board Certified Coach (BCC) training provider.

Now, all recent Life graduates with an associate of science degree in coaching psychology or a bachelor of science in psychology with a coaching psychology concentration, along with current and future students who graduate with either of those two degrees or with the new master of positive psychology (coaching psychology track) degree, can earn BCC designation by passing a written exam administered by the CCE.

“We have a number of recent graduates and current students interested in this highly-sought after designation,” said Mickey Parsons, master certified coach and assistant professor of psychology at Life. “We believe this designation will only help grow enrollment for the psychology department and Life’s College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, as this provides a significant opportunity for the graduates of our programs who take advantage of the BCC endorsement.

Founded in Marietta, Georgia, in 1974, Life University is a health sciences institution most known for its chiropractic program. Life University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award four-year undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of healthcare, science, business, and general studies fields. Life also has programmatic accreditation through the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

The mission of Life University is to empower students with the education, skills, and values necessary for career success and life fulfillment, based on a vitalistic philosophy.

For more information on Life’s psychology degrees, the new BCC designation or any other of Life’s undergraduate, graduate or doctor of chiropractic degree programs, contact Will Brooks, communications coordinator, at (678) 331-4342 or by email at william.brooks2@LIFE.edu.
