SACA award winners announced

Chiropractic Economics October 22, 2011

October 22, 2011 — At the annual Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) awards dinner last Saturday, students from across the country had the chance to get together and recognize the many achievements of their fellow peers.

The dinner, which was part of SACA’s annual fall business meeting, included students from 17 of the 18 U.S. chiropractic colleges and took place at Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Minneapolis. The awards given acknowledged the leadership and exemplary service of students and their respective chapters over the past year.

Awards recipients included:

  • SACA Member of the Year: Heidi L. Henson, Northwestern Health Sciences University,
  • Most Improved Chapter: Palmer College of Chiropractic West
  • Chapter of the Year: Southern California University of Health Sciences

Outstanding Service Awards

  • Baljinder S. Gill, Palmer College of Chiropractic West
  • Elizabeth M. Wisniewski, Palmer College of Chiropractic West
  • Katie Briley, Cleveland Chiropractic College
  • Maymie Chan, Southern California University of Health Sciences
  • Emma Summers, University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic
  • Nicholas Eyvindsson, Northwestern Health Sciences University

Excellence in Leadership Award

  • Reyhaneh Baha, Southern California University of Health Sciences
