Parker University, Parker SHARE products donate chiropractic equipment to Joplin chiropractors

Chiropractic Economics August 27, 2011

August 27, 2011 — Parker University and Parker SHARE Products donated chiropractic equipment to chiropractors in Joplin, Mo., where a tornado struck the area in May and destroyed several chiropractic practices. The Joplin tornado was the deadliest tornado in more than 60 years in the U.S.joplin-donations

Parker University contributed three Gonstead adjusting tables, six X-ray view boxes, and an armoire.

“Our thoughts are with our colleagues and others in this community,” said Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker University. “I encourage others to support this endeavor however they can during this challenging time.” Parker SHARE Products donated two brand new adjusting benches, three portable adjusting tables, and two cases of headrest paper.

“Serving their community is the actual heart and soul of every chiropractic practice,” said Dustin Dollar, director of college merchandising. “Parker SHARE Products is very grateful for the opportunity to help these DCs get their doors open and care for their patients in a time when their community needs them most.”

The relief effort was managed by Dr. Larry Montgomery, a chiropractor from Belton, Texas, who picked up equipment from Parker as well as other donors and was responsible for taking the donations to Joplin.

“It’s our responsibility to help fellow chiropractors during times like this,” said Dr. Gilles Lamarche, vice president of Parker clinics, research, continuing education, and seminars. “We’re thankful for Dr. Larry Montgomery’s devotion in making sure area DCs received the materials.”
