Hamstring Flexibility Improves After Massage Treatment, MASSAGE Magazine

Performance Health is pleased to announce that Nicole Bucar, TheraBand Associate Product Manager, is a member of The Massage Therapy Foundation’s Running for Research Team (TEAM MTF) participating in the 2016 Boston Marathon.

“We are very pleased for this opportunity to support the mission of the Massage Therapy Foundation,” stated Marshall Dahneke, Chief Executive Officer, Performance Health. “And we are delighted that Ms. Bucar was selected to be part of their 2016 Running for Research Team. I know she’ll make us all proud when she successfully completes this demanding competition; even prouder than she’s made us already by taking on the challenge.”

“I am thrilled to be representing the Massage Therapy Foundation and grateful for this opportunity to help bring more awareness to the benefits of massage

and the need for more massage research funding,” stated Nicole Bucar. “As a runner, I know the value that massage therapy brings to my training regimen. Injury prevention, injury treatment, improved flexibility and recovery are reasons I regularly invest in massage therapy. Running is hard on the body, and whether I’m receiving deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy or relaxation massage, the treatments’ benefits are enormous to both my wellbeing and training. I know that massage therapy is just as important to my training as the progressive runs I schedule over a four or five month training bout.”

“Running in the Boston Marathon has always been a dream of mine,” continued Bucar. I am so fortunate to work for Performance Health, a company that helps support health and wellness through its various lines of massage, rehab and wellness, and fitness products. TheraBand foam rollers, roller massagers and kinesiology tape, Biofreeze Pain Reliever, Cramer compression wraps and other products play a key role in helping me prepare and recover for the large amount of stress regular marathons put on my body. I’m so thankful for all of these wonderful products.” Follow Bucar’s journey at her blog.

In addition to sponsoring Bucar, Performance Health has provided TheraBand, Biofreeze, Bon Vital’ and Thera◦Pearl products to the entire Running for Research Team to enhance their training programs.
