6 chiropractic colleges travel to Iowa for ChiroCup

Chiropractic Economics February 4, 2009

February 4, 2009 — Northwestern Health Sciences University’s Hockey Club team traveled to Davenport, Iowa, in late January for the third annual ChiroCup, hosted by Palmer College of Chiropractic. The tournament attracted six teams from chiropractic colleges in North America, including two teams from Canadian Memorial College of Chiropractic (CMCC), and teams from Life University, Logan College of Chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic, and Northwestern.

Northwestern opened their tournament play against CMCC on Jan. 30 at the Quad Cities Sports Arena. Unfortunately, Northwestern got stuck against the top Canadian team, and the result was a 15-2 loss to CMCC. On Saturday, Northwestern took an early lead against Life University, but eventually lost 5-4 to Life.

Having gone 0-2 in the first two games, Northwestern played Saturday for fifth place in the tournament against Logan. Again, as they did against Life, Northwestern opened an early lead but eventually lost 8-5.
