XP3 Orthotic by Foot Levelers aims to help athletes elevate performance

Chiropractic Economics Staff May 21, 2015

xp3May 21, 2015 — Foot Levelers has introduced its newest functional orthotic, the XP3, designed for your most athletic and demanding chiropractic patients. A lightweight, thin, and durable functional orthotic, the XP3 helps your highest-performing patients conquer their athletic endeavors.

The XP3 functional orthotic is 46.3 percent lighter than any other orthotic Foot Levelers offers, providing the perfect solution for high-performing athletes who notice additional weight during competition. Although lightweight, the XP3 offers the same three-arch support and durability as all other Foot Levelers functional orthotics.

A perforated top cover helps keep the feet cool and dry, while the lightweight bottom cover provides additional cushioning and durability.

In the heel, Foot Levelers has added a super-shock absorbing mid-layer. The mid-layer material helps alleviate the thousands of pounds of impact that the force of heel strikes can exert on the kinetic chain.

On average, a runner will experience 25,000 heel strikes over the course of a marathon, with each exerting up to 2.5-times his or her body weight throughout the kinetic chain. By including the mid-layer in the heel, the XP3 helps eliminate stress in the knees, hips, and even neck caused by impacts with the ground.

Like all Foot Levelers orthotics, the XP3 offers the 3 Arch Advantage, which supports all three arches of the foot. 80 percent of the population excessively pronates, yet a large percentage of high-caliber athletes do not properly address pronation. By taking advantage of Foot Levelers’ correction capabilities, athletes can eliminate biomechanical barriers to reach peak performance.
