November 12, 2013 — In conjunction with its Fall Convention in Richmond, Va., the Virginia Chiropractic Association (VCA) named Bibhu Misra, DC, of Ashburn, Va., as its Chiropractor of the Year.
Chiropractor of the Year nominations are submitted to a committee comprised of the previous three recipients of this top Unified VCA award. For this year, that committee consisted of David Dolberg, DC; Jay Greenstein, DC; and Christopher Bruno, DC.
Misra is one of a handful of chiropractors in the state of Virginia certified as a rehabilitation specialist by the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. This training is especially helpful in helping rehabilitate injuries from auto and other accidents, and repetitive stress activities at work and play. President of his class, Misra graduated with honors from Life University. He was awarded the Julian Ho Scholarship for Chiropractic Research. Prior to attending Medical School, Misra was a pharmaceutical research scientist. Due to his breadth of education, Misra loves a challenge and is a great problem solver, often diagnosing and finding solutions where many others have not succeeded.
Misra has been licensed to practice chiropractic in Virginia since 2004, and he joined the VCA the same year. He created, owns, and runs Misra Chiropractic Clinic in Ashburn, Va., a holistic mind-body center located within a multi-health specialty building. A widely published researcher and practitioner, Misra’s center provides chiropractic, physical medicine, massage therapy, yoga, and reiki.
