April 5, 2011— The Vitality Depot announced its support for the Texas Chiropractic Association’s battle to retain chiropractors’ right to diagnose through a special initiative with the Vitality Clinical Irradia MID-Laser.
Pending legislation in Texas could prevent Texas chiropractors from being able to diagnose conditions, thereby creating a major impediment to direct access of care to the detriment of patients’ health. To support the TCA’s efforts, The Vitality Depot has pledged up to $500 per unit sold for the Vitality Clinical Irradia MID-Laser in Texas through Sept. 30, 2011.
“We believe that healthcare should be progressive with open access to care, not regressive and restrictive of patient choice and discriminatory against any profession,” explains Mark Mandell, DC, a third generation chiropractor and president of The Vitality Depot. “When an injustice like this occurs, current and future patients may be denied access to necessary care, and that is unacceptable. The Vitality Depot supports open access and advancements in patient care, so we feel it’s important to support the TCA in their efforts.”
“We selected the Vitality Clinical Irradia MID-Laser as our focal point in this effort because the device represents the pinnacle of advanced technology in laser therapy while remaining affordable to most clinics,” notes Mandell. “The Vitality Clinical Irradia MID-Laser is the only laser system that combines both Class 3B and 4 laser therapy in a single system to treat both pain and inflammation and not sacrifice one for the other, like most other systems. This laser truly advances patient care and with an ultra low cost, will afford more access to laser therapy for more patients. Clearly, this is synergistic with what the TCA is working to achieve.”

The Vitality Depot will donate $500 for each dual probe and $250 for each single probe Vitality Clinical Irradia MID-Laser unit sold to chiropractors in Texas from April 1, 2011 through Sept. 20, 2011. Qualifying packages start under $4,500.
