April 6, 2013 — The Joint Corp., a leading franchisor of chiropractic clinics, recently announced the opening of its 100th clinic in Elk Grove a suburb of Sacramento, Calif. The clinic is owned by Stephen Harkins, DC, of Harkins Chiropractic Corp. and is managed by The Joint franchisees, Chris, Rory and Sean O’Neal.
Of the milestone, CEO John Leonesio said, “The unparalleled growth of The Joint is a clear reflection of the public’s inherent need and desire for improved well-being.” He added “Offering high quality chiropractic care at a very affordable price has struck a chord with people and achieving this milestone is only the beginning. We look forward to continued growth and redefining the chiropractic industry. Making the benefits of quality chiropractic care both extremely affordable and convenient to the millions of Americans who need it can’t happen fast enough,” Leonesio explained. “Our standardized clinic model is ideal for brand awareness and rapid growth through franchising. We believe it will set a new benchmark in the industry for clients and for chiropractors who will both benefit from its ability to deliver the highest standard of care simply and inexpensively.”
With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare management, Sean O’Neal served two decades of that time as a hospital CEO, overseeing its operations and embarking on numerous joint ventures with physicians during his tenure. Founder of Joint Ventures LLC, Sean O’Neal also co-founded SurgCenter Development in 2002, developing more than 100 outpatient ambulatory surgical centers. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Association of Hospitals and Health Systems.
Such firm believers in what The Joint franchise model has to offer in addition to this clinic, The O’Neal’s have been awarded 35 additional clinics in Northern California, six in Nevada and one in Washington state. They are also the Regional Developers in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Reno, and Boise.
“The O’Neal’s have displayed an incredible business sense and possess an innate ability to fully develop their businesses both economically and strategically,” said Leonesio. “They are, without question, one of the leading entrepreneurial families in this country and will undoubtedly make The Joint highly profitable.”
