Northeast College and SUNY Oswego announce DC program partnership

Chiropractic Economics Staff October 6, 2025

SUNY OswegoNortheast College of Health Sciences and SUNY Oswego have announced a new partnership designed to give students a faster, more affordable path to a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Through new articulation agreements, a press release noted, SUNY Oswego biology majors can choose either a 3+3 or 4+3 track to complete their undergraduate and graduate studies. The 3+3 option allows students to finish their undergraduate requirements at Oswego in three years, then transition directly into Northeast’s Doctor of Chiropractic program—saving a full year of tuition while securing their spot in the program when GPA requirements are met. The 4+3 option enables students to complete their bachelor’s degree at SUNY Oswego and then gain automatic admission to Northeast’s chiropractic program, provided all criteria are satisfied.

“Collaborations like this one with SUNY Oswego are essential to Northeast College’s mission of expanding access to graduate education,” said Michael Mestan, DC, EdD, president of Northeast College. “We are proud to provide Oswego students with clear pathways to rewarding healthcare careers and look forward to welcoming them into our #NortheastBlue community.”

“We are thrilled to be entering this partnership with Northeast College of Health Sciences,” said Kristin Croyle, dean of SUNY Oswego’s College of Liberal Arts, Sciences and Engineering. “Many of our students are excited about and well prepared for entering health care careers. Building this partnership with Northeast College gives them an excellent option for pursuing a career in chiropractic care.”

The new articulation agreement was formally signed by leaders from both institutions, including Amie Redmond, MS, CAS, vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at Northeast. With guided advising and support, participating students can streamline their studies, reduce costs and avoid unnecessary coursework by submitting a Letter of Intent signed by their undergraduate advisor.

Northeast College has recently entered into similar partnerships with other area schools, including Stockton University in New Jersey, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Mercy University, York College and University of Niagara Falls Canada.
