March 15, 2011 — Students and faculty of National University of Health Sciences (NUHS), located in Lombard, Ill., recently toured whole-food supplement manufacturer Standard Process Inc.
The students, who are studying to become chiropractors and naturopathic doctors, explored the Standard Process Farm and manufacturing plant to learn how Standard Process makes its nutritional whole-food supplements.
The 57 NUHS visitors learned how organic farming techniques are used to grow crops on the company’s 420-acres of certified organic farmland for use in Standard Process whole-food supplements.
During the visit they also followed product through the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, and observed how Standard Process strictly adheres to the Food and Drug Administration’s good manufacturing practices to ensure its products are of the utmost quality.
