Dana Bloomquist, a chiropractic student at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, accepts her Standard Process scholarship from Palmer West President, Chiropractor William Meeker.

Standard Process has awarded $7,500 in scholarships to students from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Palmer).

One student from each of Palmer’s three campuses received a $2,500 scholarship.

Standard Process provides the scholarships to help support chiropractic students who embrace Standard Process’ whole food philosophy, and who have the desire and courage to shape the future of healthcare.

The winners of the Palmer scholarships are:

  • Dana Bloomquist, a seventh trimester student at the San Jose, California campus
  • Brittany Gentile, a tenth trimester student at the Port Orange, Florida campus
  • Katie Hulse, a sixth trimester student at the Davenport, Iowa campus

“I really appreciate the scholarship Standard Process gave me,” said Hulse. “Standard Process is such an amazing company that is working to help advance the chiropractic profession and the philosophy of helping the body heal itself with optimal nutrition.”

Brittany Gentile, who attends Palmer Chiropractic College West in San Jose, California, receives a $2,500 scholarship from Standard Process.

Standard Process has presented scholarships to students pursuing careers in holistic healthcare since 2006.

“Palmer College greatly appreciates all of the support Standard Process gives to our students,” said Lois Kundel, Palmer’s senior development officer. “Beyond providing educational assistance, the scholarships mean so much to our students because they help them feel like they are included in the bigger chiropractic family, that they are not traveling this road alone.”

To qualify for the scholarship, students must: have a cumulative grade point average of 2.9 or higher; provide a 500- to 700-word essay regarding chiropractic and nutrition; provide a list of their contributions to the chiropractic profession, to the college, and to their community; and provide a letter of recommendation.

The scholarships are open to all students with at least one semester remaining before graduation.
