Albuquerque manufacturer Sombra® is expanding operations into a 112,000 square-foot space in Albuquerque’s SE area near the Albuquerque International Airport.
A manufacture of topical analgesics and massage products for over 45 years, the company is expanding to meet the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sombra® Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer was re-added to the product line in April 2020. CBD Topicals, Revitalizing Hand Lotions, Antibacterial Hand Soaps, and Cleaning Products are scheduled for 2021.
The new space, Cortazar Laboratories℠, will house a production facility, a laboratory and warehouse. Once operational, Cortazar Laboratories℠ anticipates hiring additional staff to operate in the new facility.
Sombra® was founded in 1974 and currently operates in Albuquerque, N.M., at three facilities providing products for Health Care Professionals through our Distribution Partners, a retail line called Sore No More, as well as private label products.
