Simple bookkeeping for practice startup

Student DC March 19, 2019

If you don’t want to spend money on bookkeeping and accounting software, you might want to consider online services. You can use some of these programs online for free or a small monthly cost. One advantage is that all your data is stored online, so you have an automatic backup.
One resource that can help your practice is Outright, which calls itself “Simple Online Bookkeeping Software.” The free online program is a complete small business accounting system, with several components. Outright says you can use it to:
“¢ Track sales and business expenses
“¢ Get your business records organized for taxes
“¢ Remember to pay your estimated taxes on time
“¢ See how your business is doing – anytime, anywhere
And Outright says it keeps your data “safe and secure.”
Outright can be connected to TaxACT tax preparation software. TaxACT is free for the personal version which includes Schedule C for sole proprietors and single-member limited liability companies. You pay for business versions.
