SCU faculty member publishes biochemistry textbook

Chiropractic Economics January 30, 2009

January 30, 2009 — Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) faculty member Garrett Thompson, PhD has published a new textbook titled ‘Biochemistry in a Nutshell.’ The textbook is a National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Part I examination review. The text contains a concise summary of facts pertaining to biochemistry, with 18 easy to follow figures, 25 summary tables, and 260 practice questions.

Thompson is an assistant professor at SCU. He received his PhD in Biochemistry from LomaLinda University in California, and his BS from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.

Todd Knudsen, DC, DACBR, dean of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) at SCU enthusiastically acknowledges the accomplishment, “I am proud of Dr. Thompson for publishing this book. I am confident it will be a great help for students who are preparing to take the very challenging NBCE Part I Biochemistry exam.”
