Rana Whittaker joins Enzymedica as lab manager

February 19, 2013 — Enzymedica recently announced Rana Whittaker’s appointment as lab manager. She began the appointment on January 1st, 2013.

In her role as lab manager, Whittaker will oversee all in-house and contract testing of current products, working closely with production and quality to ensure the continued superiority of Enzymedica’s products. As the lab evolves from strictly verification to encompass more research and development, she will assist Dr. Maday Labrador, VP of Scientific Affairs, with new product development as well as substantiation of existing products in the lab and through clinical studies.

Whittaker comes to Enzymedica following a three-year stint as a professor of Anatomy & Physiology at State College of Florida. With a foundation in basic science research, and publications in Developmental Genetics and the Journal of Anatomy, she brings to Enzymedica an eclectic mix of investigative skills, knowledge of human physiology, and business management experience.

She received a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Florida. Before that, she pursued undergraduate studies at Towson State University, with dual degrees in Biology and English and a minor in Chemistry.
