February 2, 2012 — Performance Health announces their participation in the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Strategic Business Partners program.
“Our participation in this new program is simply a continuation of a long and rewarding relationship with the APTA,” stated Phil Page, PT, PhD, ATC, FACSM, director of clinical education and research at Performance Health. “As a member of the APTA for nearly 20 years, I’m proud to help support research and education in our profession through the Thera-Band Academy.”
Through its Strategic Business Partners Program, APTA seeks to enhance business relationships and develop meaningful partnerships with for-profit companies by offering services and marketing opportunities that provide mutual benefits to partners and APTA. Performance Health, maker of Thera-Band, Biofreeze and Pedigenix products, is a charter partner, which entitles the company to varied promotional opportunities and gives APTA added visibility to Performance Health customers.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Performance Health into the family of strategic business partners,” said APTA President R. Scott Ward, PT, PhD. “They have demonstrated an established commitment to the physical therapy community, particularly with their Thera-Band products, which have been used successfully by physical therapists for conditioning, rehabilitation, and strength-building for more than 35 years.”
As part of the strategic partnership, Performance Health is offering free membership for APTA members in the company’s newly upgraded Thera-Band Academy website that promotes and disseminates research and provides education programs and materials for Thera-Band and Biofreeze products.
The Academy’s mission is to facilitate research, education and practice within the Thera-Band systems of progressive exercise and Biofreeze topical analgesics. APTA members can register for free access to the Academy.
