Performance Health donates Biofreeze Pain Reliever to US troops

Chiropractic Economics April 23, 2012

April 23, 2012 — Performance Health has made a donation of Biofreeze Pain Reliever, at a retail value of $212,000, to SupportOurTroops.Org. This donation, large enough to serve 25,000 troops, will be provided to U.S. service members in Afghanistan.

“This gift to the troops comes thanks to the patriotism and generosity of the great American company Performance Health in Akron, Ohio,” said Martin C. Boire, chairman of SupportOurTroops.Org. “On behalf of the troops, we thank Performance Health for their voluntary contribution. It will do a great deal of good for the well-being of front line troops.”

“When considering where to make this product donation, our troops were again at the top of the list. We are honored to be able to support them and are grateful for their dedication and sacrifice,” stated Doug Stuckey, senior product manager for Performance Health. “We hope this donation provides relief for those suffering with aches and pains as a result of their physically challenging commitment. We are also grateful for SupportOurTroops.Org’s efforts to help community-minded businesses such as ours find ways to make a difference in the day-to-day lives of our service members.”

Veteran Kurt Schlote, Western region manager of Performance Health, played a major role in engineering this donation; “I am happy to be in a position to select SupportOurTroops.Org as the recipient of this donation. We’ve heard great things from troops who have received and benefited from Biofreeze in the past. I know this donation will also get it to the deployed troops who need it most. I personally hope any other veteran who is in a position to donate material or money to SupportOurTroops.Org will do so.”
