Chiropractic Economics December 4, 2013

Parker University's flag football team competing in the Chiro Games.December 4, 2013 — Parker University students recently won the 22nd Annual Chiro Games, an athletic competition between chiropractic institutions held in Cocoa Beach, Fla. The Parker Patriots earned first place 56-52 over Life University.

Regaining the title of Chiro Games Champions, the Patriots reached its record-breaking 12th championship title.

Logan University collected third place honors with 42 points, while New York Chiropractic College (34), Palmer-Iowa (20), Palmer-Florida (16), Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (14), and Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (6) topped the 13-school field.

The Patriots earned four championship performances in the 12-sport event. Parker’s men’s basketball team won the title over Palmer-Florida. The Patriots kept the momentum going when they topped Life for the gold medal in flag football. The Parker tennis team then grabbed its first championship since 2010 with a victory over Palmer-Florida and in the most dominating performance of the games, the Parker swim team cruised past NYCC for the team championship. Parker also picked up silver medals in women’s basketball and softball, and a bronze in running. In addition, Parker fielded teams in golf, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and beach volleyball.

The championship also marked Parker’s seventh title in the past nine years and extended the Patriots streak to 13 years of finishing among the top three teams.
