Parker University introduces the latest evolution in its learning journey: its new Learning Management System.
The system was chosen, notes a university press release, after Parker recently embarked on a comprehensive Learning Management System evaluation, collecting insights from students, faculty, staff, surveys, focus groups, committees and hands-on vendor demonstrations. Feedback showed Parker needed a software partnership that offered top-level training, support and efficiency to support high productivity.
Introducing Desire2Learn (D2L) Brightspace
Desire2Learn (D2L) Brightspace, a state-of-the-art, user-friendly platform that empowers students and educators, was chosen as Parker’s new partner in online education. It provides a seamless, intuitive interface that revolutionizes teaching and learning; it stood out based on its innovative features, including advanced analytics, adaptive learning, mobile accessibility, integrated multimedia tools and third-party tool support.
Ashley Long, PhD, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, said, “The switch to Brightspace benefits both students and faculty at Parker University. Brightspace offers a user-friendly interface, enhanced accessibility features, and robust tools for course management and student engagement. This platform supports a variety of learning modalities and ensures that educational resources are available to all students, enhancing the overall learning experience.”
Brightspace will be fully implemented by Fall 2024, with select courses beginning the transition this summer. Parker University is committed to excellence in education, and this transition to Brightspace is a significant step toward enhancing the learning experience for all.
