October 3, 2016—Palmer College’s Florida campus in Port Orange graduated its forty-second class on Friday, Sept. 23. Sixty-three students received their Doctor of Chiropractic degree in a ceremony held at the News-Journal Center in Daytona Beach.
The commencement address was given by Teresa Brennan, DC, MA, associate professor. Conferring of degrees and presentation of awards were conducted by Florida Campus President Peter Martin, DC, and Dean of Academic Affairs, Donald Gran, DC, MS Ed.
The Valedictorian Award was presented by Dr. Donald Gran, to Stephanie Ann Benz, Wash. Ross Michael Benz, Fla., was presented with the Salutatorian Award. The Virgil V. Strang Philosophy Award was presented by Peter Martin to Omar-Shay Clark, Va. Brian Thomas Call, Idaho, received the Clinical Excellence Award.
The Dr. James Buerkle Memorial Award was presented to Nicholas Robert Cress, Pa. Stephanie Ann Benz also received the Academic Excellence Award.
