Palmer’s academic affiliations with Naval Health Clinics grows

Chiropractic Economics May 3, 2011

May 3, 2011 — Palmer College of Chiropractic has recently established academic affiliations with the following Department of Defense facilities: the Naval Health Clinic in Newport, R.I.; the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Groton, Conn.; and the Hornet Health Clinic — Naval Hospital Lemoore in Lemoore, Calif.

The staff chiropractor associated with the United States Navy facilities in Rhode Island and Connecticut is James Barassi, DC, a ’91 Davenport Campus graduate. The staff chiropractor at the California U.S. Navy facility is George Sargetis, DC, an ’83 Davenport Campus graduate. Preparations are underway for intern rotations to begin with each doctor in July 2011.

The addition of these Naval Health Clinics brings the number of academic affiliations that Palmer has with Department of Defense and Veteran’s Affairs facilities to nine, involving ten different chiropractic doctors.
