Palmer College of Chiropractic scholarship fund increased

Chiropractic Economics Staff July 15, 2014

PalmerLogoThe following letter from Chairman of the Palmer College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees Trevor Ireland, DC, is being distributed to the Palmer community.

To the Palmer Community,

Last spring we informed you that the leadership of The Chiropractic International Alumni Association (TCIAA) had transferred its remaining assets, totaling slightly under $1 million, to the College, as instructed by the Iowa District Court.

I’m pleased to report that following up on the TCIAA’s good-faith efforts, final legal agreements have been signed by Palmer College of Chiropractic and the former TCIAA, and approved by the Court. This matter has now been officially brought to a close and all parties have agreed to move forward in the best interest of the college.

As directed by the Board, the Palmer Administration has used the returned funds to provide scholarships for Palmer students.

I’d like to thank Chancellor Dennis Marchiori for being the catalyst that helped heal the Palmer team. I’d also like to thank our legal counselors, Mr. Richard Bittner, Esq., and Mr. Jeff Bittner, Esq., for their professional guidance, and all of you in the Palmer community for your patience and support.

We look forward to seeing all of you, and all of the alumni involved in this matter, at Homecoming. Now is the time to come together once again arm-in-arm to move forward in support of our beloved College.

Sincerely yours,

Trevor V. Ireland, DC, FICA (Hon), FPCW, FPAC, FICC

Chairman, Palmer College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees
