One Concept to host American Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Spa Conference

Chiropractic Economics Staff July 12, 2013

OneConcept_CommunityRoomJuly 12, 2013 — The ONE Concept Group is pleased to announce the second annual American Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, & Spa Conference Sept. 13–15 in San Diego. Committed to an interdisciplinary approach to wellness, ONE Concept is the only conference that bridges the realms of massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, and spa.

“One Concept extends the reach of practitioners into other disciplines,” says Scott Dartnall, president of ONE Concept Group. “Our goal is to achieve ONE voice in the field of progressive health care by uniting the growing community of holistic practitioners. Last year’s conference set the standard for an integrated model of wellness that can truly expand and enhance the business of any natural health practitioner.”

More than 2,000 natural health practitioners and business owners attended last year’s San Diego conference. The ONE Concept Conference is ideal for massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and holistic practitioners wanting integrative, hands on education to develop a holistic approach to wellness.

The three-day event features education and networking with “heavy-hitters” in the world of spa, massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, and holistic health. “Performance Health continues to be a proud supporter of ONE Concept and their commitment to unite our growing communities,” stated Marshall Dahneke, president and CEO of Performance Health — parent company of Biofreeze.”

Conference highlights

One Concept Community Room: The One Concept Community Room makes its debut at the San Diego Conference. Bringing the holistic health community together, the Community Room featured treatments with world class practitioners, hands-on, practical education, and intimate networking via the Community Mentoring Room.

“We are also inviting the general public to experience the Community Room on Sunday,” says Monica Pasinato-Forchielli, vice president of ONE Concept. “Introducing massage and natural health enthusiasts to experience the benefits of holistic health modalities will encourage careers in the industry and a new generation of consumers to seek our services.”

Industry partnerships: In line with One Concept’s inclusive approach, the conference has secured several high profile partnerships. MPA Media is the global media partner. Resource partner sponsors include American3B Scientific, Biofreeze, Biotone, Bonvital, and Massage Envy. Education partners include the Day Spa Association, The Spa Connection, Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP), NCBTMB, and SCUHS. The conference has received approval for Massage Therapy Continuing Education (CE) Classes through NCBTMB and for Chiropractic through SCUHS. Attendees will receive credit for all designated Massage Therapy classes approved through NCBTMB.

Charitable efforts: One Concept is proud to host the Second Annual Charity Golf Invitational to benefit Make-A-Wish San Diego. “Make a Wish is a personal cause of mine,” says Dartnall. “My son was granted a wish and it made a huge impact on his life. Make-A-Wish helped to change our lives for the better, and we want to pay it forward.” One Concept is also awarding four $500 student grants from the Helping Hands Gifts for Growth program. Established by Biotone and Biofreeze, the program helps massage students offset the cost of their education and encourage them to seek advanced education.

Student day: As at all One Concept Conferences, students receive complimentary access on Friday “Student Day.” School administrators and instructors receive free access when accompanied by their students or if they attend the One Concept school rally.
