The Olympic chiropractic commercial was aired during Parker Seminars Las Vegas, and will air a minimum of five times during the coverage from Tokyo and is expected to reach 204 million television viewers
The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) and founder Kent S. Greenawalt gave a sneak preview over the weekend of an Olympic chiropractic commercial that will air during the television broadcast of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics later this year.
The commercial was aired during Parker Seminars Las Vegas on Feb. 6-8, 2020, at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel. Focusing on educating the public regarding chiropractic health and sports performance benefits, it will also “grab the attention of individuals who may be considering a career in a health care field like chiropractic,” says Sherry McAllister, DC, executive vice-president of the F4CP. “The future of this profession lies in the hands of its current students and those who are considering a career in health care.”
Funding for the commercial, which honors chiropractic’s upcoming 125th birthday, came from a number of sources throughout the chiropractic industry, with primary funding from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
The 30-second Olympic chiropractic commercial will air a minimum of five times during the coverage from Tokyo and is expected to reach 204 million television viewers. The storyline features a past Olympic athlete discussing the challenges of competing against the world’s best and how chiropractic care enhanced their performance and competitive edge, resolved their injuries and ultimately inspired them to pursue a career in chiropractic.
The F4CP’s mission is to educate the public regarding the benefits of chiropractic. The 28,000 member organization, founded in 2003 by Greenawalt, the CEO of Foot Levelers, Inc., offers a wide variety of support for doctors of chiropractic including media and marketing materials, “Find a Doctor” services, videos, webinars, PowerPoint presentations, podcasts, tip sheets, white papers, brochures, Opioid Toolkits and more.
“For years, the foundation has dreamt of pursuing opportunities of this grandeur for the profession,” Greenawalt said. “The chance to create this commercial would not have been possible without the support of NBCE. We are going for the gold, and are pleased to showcase chiropractic care to the world during the highly-televised 2020 Summer Olympics.”
In addition to the Olympic chiropractic commercial and being on the front lines of fighting the opioid epidemic, F4CP in 2020 will roll out their “Optimizing Performance” campaign, featuring high-profile athletes touting the benefits of chiropractic care in videos, on social media and more.
