November 14, 2011 — New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) was awarded a grant equivalent to $30,000 enabling three-year access to the Xitracs, a system that assists colleges in their effort to achieve and maintain accreditation.
Xitracs helps streamline report preparation, manage supporting documents, track progress, and publish submissions. NYCC plans to employ the system beginning spring, 2012.
“We believe adoption of Xitracs will dramatically enhance our ability to conduct an effective, reflective, and analytical study,” said Vice President Dr. David Odiorne of the college’s Institutional Quality and Assessment division. “The system helps us share data, eliminate duplication of effort, and, hopefully, minimize error.”
NYCC must comply with the dictates of four agencies: the New York State Department of Education (NYSED), the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), and the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), each with different reporting requirements.
NYCC also plans to employ the system when securing approval for its online programming throughout the various states and territories.
