NUHS receives bequest from National/Lincoln alumnus

Chiropractic Economics November 16, 2010

November 16, 2010 — National University of Health Sciences recently received a generous gift from the estate of a 1954 graduate of Lincoln Chiropractic College. Tex “Doc” Rabourn of South Shore, Ky., bequeathed one-third of a million dollars to National as part of his will.

National University of Health Sciences became the curator of records from Lincoln Chiropractic College when Lincoln closed its doors in 1971, thus Rabourn became a National alumnus. The historic college is commemorated in name through the Lincoln College of Postprofessional, Graduate and Continuing Education at NUHS.

“We are truly grateful for Dr. Rabourn’s dedication to the chiropractic profession through this generous gift to National,” says Dr. James F. Winterstein, president of NUHS. “Legacies from such dedicated physicians go a long way in helping prepare new leaders in our chiropractic profession and keep its future strong.”
