August 14, 2012 — In commencement ceremonies Aug. 11, 48 students graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University.
In an afternoon ceremony, the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine presented diplomas to 29 students, followed by an evening ceremony where 19 students graduated from the School of Massage Therapy.
Thirteen students received a Master’s degree in acupuncture, and 16 received a Master’s degree in Oriental medicine. Of the 19 graduates from the School of Massage Therapy, nine earned an Associate’s of Applied Sciences degree in massage therapy.
Huan Ma, PhD, LAc., associate professor, was the speaker at the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine commencement, with graduating students Adam Lipschultz and Matthew Peterson addressing the students. The speaker for the School of Massage Therapy ceremony was Dawn Schmidt, and graduating students Rebecca Horak, Tracy Hyde, and Theresa Viland gave the student address.
