Northeast College of Health Sciences has established two new scholarships in support of students pursuing healthcare degrees and careers.
According to a recent press release, the N. Ray Tuck, Jr. Scholarship and the Menzo Case Scholarship are the latest additions to the College’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and leadership within the healthcare community.
Honoring N. Ray Tuck, Jr., DC
The N. Ray Tuck, Jr. Scholarship, in memory of esteemed industry leader Ray Tuck, DC, will be an annual scholarship to recognize outstanding students enrolled in the College’s doctor of chiropractic program. Beginning with the 2024-2025 academic year, the College plans to award one deserving student with this scholarship annually. Eligible candidates must hail from the Virginia area and have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities during their undergraduate education.
Tuck, a distinguished member of Northeast College of Health Sciences’ Board of Trustees, was renowned for his dedication to and leadership of the chiropractic profession — both nationally and in his home region of southern Virginia – as well as his commitment to educating future healthcare leaders. The establishment of this scholarship in his honor aims to continue his legacy of excellence and support promising students in their pursuit of chiropractic education.
Honoring Menzo Case
The Menzo Case Scholarship honors the memory of Menzo Case, a beloved community leader and member of the College’s Board of Trustees. This annual scholarship is dedicated to supporting students from New York’s Finger Lakes region who are pursuing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in either radiologic technology or diagnostic medical sonography at Northeast College, and who also demonstrate a commitment to volunteering and community service. Similar to the Ray Tuck Scholarship, one deserving student will be selected each year, beginning with the 2024-2025 academic year.
Case was deeply committed to advancing the growth and success of the Finger Lakes region, and this scholarship serves as a tribute to his enduring legacy. By providing financial assistance to students pursuing careers in radiologic technology and sonography, the Menzo Case Scholarship aims to empower future healthcare professionals and contribute to the overall well-being of the community.
Honoring legacies and supporting tomorrow’s leaders
“We are thrilled to introduce the N. Ray Tuck, Jr. Scholarship and the Menzo Case Scholarship as part of our ongoing efforts to support the next generation of healthcare leaders,” said Michael Mestan, DC, President of Northeast College of Health Sciences. “These scholarships reflect our commitment to honoring the legacies and leadership of Dr. Ray Tuck and Mr. Menzo Case, while also providing invaluable opportunities for deserving students to pursue their academic and professional goals.”
