North Dakota Chiropractic Association Joins ACA State Affiliate Program

Chiropractic Economics Staff July 14, 2021

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) recently welcomed the North Dakota Chiropractic Association (NDCA) as its newest state affiliate. The ACA State Affiliate Program enables state chiropractic associations to collaborate more closely with ACA for the advancement of the chiropractic profession.

North Dakota is the 12th state to join the affiliate program, which also includes state associations representing doctors of chiropractic in California, Connecticut, Indiana, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas.

Affiliate states, while maintaining their own separate governance, benefit by having a seat in the ACA House of Delegates, where their representative can vote and participate in shaping ACA policy. They also have access to a wide range of ACA advocacy tools and information as well as membership resources.

“ACA looks forward to working more closely with the North Dakota Chiropractic Association to advance key initiatives that will benefit our respective members and their patients,” said ACA President Michele Maiers, DC, MPH, PhD.

“We’re confident collaborating with ACA through the State Affiliate Program will enhance our efforts to advance chiropractic and provide value to our members,” added NDCA President Zachary Smith, DC.

Membership in the State Affiliate Program is available at no cost to any state chiropractic association that wishes to work collaboratively with ACA to advance the chiropractic profession.

About the American Chiropractic Association
The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) is the largest professional chiropractic organization in the United States. ACA attracts the most principled and accomplished chiropractors, who understand that it takes more to be called an ACA chiropractor. We are leading our profession in the most constructive and far-reaching ways–by working hand in hand with other health care professionals, by lobbying for pro-chiropractic legislation and policies, by supporting meaningful research and by using that research to inform our treatment practices. We also provide professional and educational opportunities for all our members and are committed to being a positive and unifying force for the practice of modern chiropractic.
