February 11, 2010 – David Blumenthal, MD has tendered his resignation as the national coordinator for health information technology, multiple sources are reporting. This was expected as Blumenthal returns to teach at Harvard after two years on the post.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says her office is conducting a national search “to find the right successor for this key position.”
