Motorized tables are a popular option

Chiropractic Economics July 29, 2014

When it comes to choosing a chiropractic table for your office, the options are endless, which may make zeroing in on one table pretty difficult. There is a sea of features and upgrades to sort through, but you may want to start with deciding between a motorized or non-motorized table.

Generally, a chiropractic table that is non-motorized costs less money. However, these models seem to be fading away, as a motorized table can offer many benefits for the professional chiropractor, his or her employees, and, perhaps most important of all, the client or patient who is getting on and off the table.

Depending on the type of motorized table you choose, you may have a number of movement features available to you with the push of a button, press of a pedal, or flip of a switch. Typically, the main motorized feature of a chiropractic table will be the ability to raise or lower the height. Other motorized options might include moving back and forth from a vertical to horizontal position or moving in ways that will allow for flexion, extension, or traction.

Motorized models can also make things easier on clients and patients who have a difficult time moving themselves on and off the table. For instance, if you have elderly patients who come in for adjustments, the ability to automatically lower the chiropractic table to a level that makes it easy for them to get on will be of great benefit. The same goes for clients who might have injuries. With a motorized table, you can adjust the height easily for these patients.

Of course, when it comes to the benefits of a motorized chiropractic table, we must take a look at how this kind of advanced equipment can help the professional chiropractor and his or her employees.

Instead of having to do any kind of physical work to raise or lower the table, the motorized chiropractic table does the work for you. This can help to conserve your energy and can save time. By allowing patients and clients to get on and off the chiropractic table faster and easier, the motorized table might even speed up the turnaround time between patients and clients.

So, depending on your practice, it may pay to consider a motorized chiropractic table next time you’re in the market for a new piece of equipment.
