Logan College of Chiropractic graduates 89 new Doctors of Chiropractic

Chiropractic Economics April 26, 2011

April 26, 2011 — Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs held its 164th commencement for the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the William D. Purser, DC, Center on the Logan campus.

The ceremony, which included the academic hooding of each graduate, honored 89 students with the conferral of the Doctor of Chiropractic degree by Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC. Thirty-three students received their Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation degrees from Logan University Programs. The commencement speaker was Professor Gerald W. Clum, DC, past president of Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, Calif. 

Fourteen graduates were recognized with special academic honors. Valedictorian Conrad M. Taylor graduated summa cum laude. Daniel A. Brink, Kathryn E. Baker, Luke A. Bennett, Bonnie E. Davis, Emily M. Barks, Ian P. Ahearn, Alyssa J. Schneider, Bradley T. Zinkel, Kathryn E. Weessies and Lena G. Haggerty graduated magna cum laude.  Cum laude graduates included Brettany L. Hummert, Nicholas S. Curry and Trenton S. Stevens.  Graduating students who made the Dean’s List included: Ian P. Ahearn, Kathryn E. Baker, Emily M. Barks, Luke A. Bennett, Jason G. Biondo, Nicholas S. Curry, Bonnie E. Davis, Lena G. Haggerty, Lorie Lofquist, Alyssa J. Schneider, Conrad M. Taylor, Kathryn E. Weessies and Bradley T. Zinkel.  Jason Biondo was the recipient of the $1,000 Dr. Al Chamberlin Student Doctor Award presented by the Logan Alumni Assn.
