Logan College of Chiropractic appoints new counseling psychologist

Dr_FalconerJune 7, 2013 — Logan College of Chiropractic/University Programs has announced the appointment of Jameca W. Falconer, PhD, as counseling psychologist in its Office of Student Services. She reports to James Paine, PhD, Logan’s dean of student services.

Falconer holds a PhD in counseling psychology and an MA in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Tougaloo College. She is an adjunct faculty member at Webster University where she teaches courses in behavior management and adolescent psychology, and is also a clinical assistant professor at the Southern Illinois University Dental School at Edwardsville where she assists students with behavioral health rotations. She also serves as the therapist/clinic director of Diverse Ventures where she conducts psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessments of adults with an emphasis in geriatrics.

Falconer served as president of the Association of Black Psychologists-St. Louis Chapter from 2007 to 2011 and is a member of the American Psychological Association. She is currently a board member of the Center for Hearing and Speech.

Falconer is a published research author and the recipient of numerous fellowships and grants. She has lectured extensively around the country.
