September 24, 2018—In what has become the chiropractic profession’s premier continuing education (CE) event, Life University (LIFE) is expecting to host more than 1,700 Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) on its campus for CE, class reunions and Alumni and Friends organizational events from September 26-30, 2018 at the 2018 Fall CElebration.
Alumni and friends of the University continue to come back in droves to choose from a multitude of CE courses throughout the week, but perhaps even more to fellowship with their former classmates and friends, and see the many changes that have been made to the campus and facilities over the years.
This year, LIFE has made a change in the way attendees will be scanned in and out of classes for their CE credit. When attendees arrive at registration, they will be given direction to print their badges at special kiosks. Badges will be embedded with an RFID code, which will be scanned each time attendees go in and out of the classroom. This change will reduce any potential scanning errors to make sure proper credit is received.
LIFE has plenty again this year for the enjoyment of its alumni and friends, including Thirsty Thursday (September 27) with vendors and a reunion dinner for the Classes of ’78, ’83 and ’88 on Thursday evening; the Alumni and Friends “Day of the Dead Party” in Socrates Café on Friday night (September 28); the Lasting Purpose Luncheon on Saturday at Noon (September 29); as well as Soccer, Volleyball and Rugby games Saturday afternoon and evening.
Another important event attendees will want to attend is Saturday morning’s (8:00 a.m. to noon) Plenary Session with Chancellor Guy Riekeman, DC, and other platform guests, who include Drs. Rob Scott, Dan Murphy, Andrew Wakefield, Michael Karlin, Deed Harrison, Chris Colloca and Ryan Cedermark. The title of the session is “How Agile are Your Neurons?” No other classes are scheduled during this four-hour, CE approved session.
