Life University hosts first neuro summit

Chiropractic Economics Staff November 21, 2025

Neuro SummitLife University, in partnership with its Complementary Healthcare Advanced Research and Leadership Institute (CHARLI), hosted the inaugural CHARLI Chiropractic Colloquium and Neuro Summit (C3 Neuro Summit) November 7-9, 2025.

The Neuro Summit brought together more than 100 clinicians, researchers and industry leaders on the university’s Marietta, Georgia, campus to collaborate, share insights and shape the future of chiropractic and neuroscience.

In collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Association of Functional Neurosciences and Rehabilitation (IAFNR), the summit featured research presentations, interactive discussion panels and training sessions designed to foster growth, expand expertise and establish foundational steps toward integrating neuroscience, research and clinical practice.

Speaker lineup

Speakers included Michael Longyear, DC, DACNB, CCSP, international teacher and author in functional neurology; Stan Pierce, DC, researcher and CEO of EPIC Clinics; Lydia Knutson, DC, developer of the Axial Stability Method and founder of the Lydian Center for Innovative Healthcare; Allen Knecht, DC, clinician scientist and lecturer for the One Research Foundation; and Stephanie Sullivan, DC, PhD, associate vice president of research for CHARLI and Life University’s Dr. Sid E. Williams Center for Chiropractic Research.

“Researchers and clinicians in the chiropractic field have often operated in separate worlds, leaving valuable insights underused in patient care,” said Sullivan. “This summit breaks down those silos, providing an environment to engage and share research, clinical strategies and goals for the future of the profession. By launching the annual C3 Neuro Summit, we are helping researchers and clinicians turn these discussions into actionable strategies that improve patient care.”

The second annual C3 Neuro Summit will be held on November 6-8, 2026, at Life University.
