Life Chiropractic College West mourns Board of Regents member, Dr. Jeanne Ohm

Chiropractic Economics October 4, 2019

Jeanne Ohm

It is with a heavy heart that the Life Chiropractic College West Board of Regents acknowledges the passing of member Jeanne Ohm, DC.

“Dr. Jeanne Ohm was a leader in the profession, and her contribution to the elevation of pediatric, pre- and post-natal chiropractic care has taken our profession to another level,” said Life West President Ron Oberstein, DC. “Her commitment to the health and well-being of everyone from children to adults is unmatched. In my 39 years in chiropractic, I’ve never met someone so dedicated and passionate about life and chiropractic. She was a selfless servant who embodied the Lasting Purpose of giving, doing, loving and serving from one’s own abundance, to everyone she came in contact with.”

“We will miss Dr. Ohm’s guidance and advice, not only at the Life West Board, but throughout the profession,” said Jimmy Nanda, DC, and Chair of the Life West Board of Regents.

Ohm co-founded a family wellness care practice, Ohm Family Chiropractic, in 1981 with her husband, Dr. Tom. They have six children and eight grandchildren, who were all born at home and are living the chiropractic family wellness lifestyle.

Ohm was an instructor, author and innovator. Her passions were training DCs with specific techniques for care in pregnancy, birth and infancy; forming national alliances for chiropractors with like-minded perinatal practitioners; empowering mothers to make informed choices; and offering pertinent patient educational materials.

She followed her passion as the Chief Executive Officer of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and Executive Editor of Pathways to Family Wellness magazine. Ohm was a member of the Life Chiropractic College West Board of Regents since July 2012 and served as the Chair of the Life West Board’s Academic Affairs Committee.  Her presence in the Life West Board of Regents, Life Chiropractic College West and the Chiropractic profession will be greatly missed.
