Integrative Therapeutics launches high absorption liquid calcium magnesium

Chiropractic Economics May 9, 2013

10020_LiquidCalMag_OrangeMay 9, 2013 — Supplement manufacturer Integrative Therapeutics has added a new Liquid Calcium Magnesium to their existing bone support portfolio.

This orange-vanilla flavored formula features the citrate forms of calcium and magnesium, supporting optimal absorption and providing these crucial minerals in an optimal ratio and an easy-to-use form. Liquid Calcium Magnesium High Absorption Formula also provides 400 IU of vitamin D per serving to promote calcium absorption and maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphorus.*

“Some research indicates that stomach acid is required for the absorption of calcium carbonate, but not for the absorption of calcium citrate. I see this as one benefit of taking a calcium citrate supplement,” explains Jeremy Appleton, ND, director of scientific affairs for Integrative Therapeutics. “Liquid Calcium Magnesium is my choice for elderly patients who need extra calcium and magnesium but may have lower stomach acid or difficulty swallowing pills. Using a liquid formula also allows for flexible dosing.”

This new formulation joins Integrative Therapeutics’ large portfolio of bone support supplements, including two other Liquid Calcium Magnesium products that offer the carbonate mineral form, which buffers stomach acid for those patients requiring upper gastrointestinal support.*
