The TNChiroFoundation has announced the recipients of its first-ever chiropractic staff scholarships: a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant (CTA) scholarship and a Chiropractic X-Ray Technician (CXT) scholarship.
The staff scholarships are the latest addition to TNChiroFoundation’s scholarship program, which also has a chiropractic student scholarship, introduced in May 2024.
In a press release from the Tennessee Chiropractic Association, the foundation, which is dedicated to advancing chiropractic care, education and research, said this initiative “underscores our commitment to ensuring every Tennessean has access to the highest standard of chiropractic services, fostering a healthier and more vibrant community.”
Meet the Chiropractic Therapy Assistant Scholarship winner
Chiropractic Therapy Assistant Scholarship recipient Allie Kelley has been involved in educating and supporting new families for the last several years. She has obtained multiple certifications, including Certified Lactation Counselor, Child Passenger Safety Technician and Certified Babywearing Educator. Additionally, she has volunteered with Postpartum Support International both as a state coordinator and an Army resource coordinator.
“I plan to continue to further my knowledge on how chiropractic care can support the entire family so I can continue to educate new families on the importance of whole-body health and maintaining regular chiropractic appointments,” Kelley stated. “Together we can help change families’ lives for the better one adjustment at a time!”
Meet the Chiropractic X-Ray Technician Scholarship winner
Driven by her interest in understanding the musculoskeletal system and how it relates to overall health, Chiropractic X-Ray Technician Scholarship recipient Courtney Williams, CTA, studied kinesiology in college. Since taking a position at Morter Family Chiropractic, she has also completed chiropractic therapy assistant (CTA) licensure.
Williams’ desire in seeking CXT licensure is to gain knowledge and skills not only to perform X-rays safely and effectively, but also to communicate more effectively with patients and colleagues. Providing patients with better education about wellness and improving quality of life, she said, “can allow us to play a significant role in mitigating the impact of chronic diseases, enhancing patient outcomes and contributing to a more sustainable and effective healthcare system.”
The TNChiroFoundation is proud to support the bright future of chiropractic care through these annual chiropractic staff scholarships. For more information, visit tnchirofoundation.org or email info@tnchirofoundation.org.
