HHS launches website on health insurance options

Chiropractic Economics July 13, 2010

July 13, 2010 — On July 1, the Department of Health and Human Services unveiled its latest website — www.healthcare.gov. This website, development of which was mandated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), serves as a central database that includes health coverage options for both public and private insurance programs.

Information from more than 1,000 private insurance plans is included, and users can obtain information specific to their needs and location. Look for additional updates on the impact of PPACA in future ACA publications.
