May 19, 2014 — Gary R. Pennebaker, DC, of Minnesota, was elected as an at-large director to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) at its annual meeting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on May 2. Pennebaker will serve a two-year term.
A graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Pennebaker established his clinic in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where he still practices, in 1977. He formerly served as District II Director and Board Chair of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB), and this year, he was awarded the Federation’s highest individual honor of the 2014 George Arvisdon Award for Meritorious Service to Chiropractic Regulation.
Pennebaker also served as president of the Minnesota State Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is president of the C. S. Gonstead Chiropractic Foundation Inc. He is a founding member of the ICA Council on Chiropractic Philosophy and has served the NBCE through participation in the Part IV test committee, representing the State of Minnesota as well as an examiner for the Part IV test.
