Future Health CEO meets with congressional representatives

Carroll, IA, March 20, 2009 — Steven J. Kraus, Founder and CEO of Future Health, Inc., an integrated office management software company, recently returned from two meetings in Washington, DC with Congress Representatives, Senators and Health & Human Services personnel involving discussion on information technology.

The meeting was to help promote the implementation of Electronic Health Records in chiropractic physician’s clinics as it relates to the Economic Recovery Plan for health information technology.

Kraus, who is a chiropractic physician and the current chairman of the Iowa Board of Chiropractic, and serves as the Iowa delegate for the American Chiropractic Association, and is a past president of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, wants to ensure that rules are implemented to result in faster adoption of EHR technology and criteria are in place to

result in smoother transition from paper to digital records and easier implementation of EHR products for doctors.

“This is an unprecedented time for national healthcare,” said Dr. Kraus. “It is critical that during the early phases of implementation process planning, that small practices’ needs are understood and effective tactics are developed to achieve President Obama’s goal of nationwide EHR adoption by 2014. My mission is to see that they are.”
