December 27, 2011 — As a four-time Olympian and head coach of the U.S. Men’s Olympic Water Polo Team that won the gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in Mexico and the silver medal at the Beijing Summer Olympics, I know how important teamwork is to winning.
As a third generation doctor of chiropractic with over 70 chiropractors in my family, including my wife Lori, who I have been in practice with for 25 years, I know even more about chiropractic and helping patients win back their health. We can all agree that more patients need to be winners.
Today, our profession finally has the ability to successfully share the benefits of chiropractic with the public; we have a not-for-profit organization, called the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP). The foundation has one mission — positive press for chiropractic. Their campaign educates the public about the value of chiropractic care on a daily basis. In 2011 alone, it generated over 3.5 billion positive chiropractic messages, and this was accomplished with the support of only three percent of our profession. Think of how much more can be achieved as more of us become a part of the team.
Each of us has a responsibility to our profession. Patients need to know about the benefits of chiropractic care and this foundation is how we — together as a team of colleagues — make it happen.
I hope your holiday season is joyful, and in the spirit of giving along with gratitude for the successful work of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress – you add your name to the current 2,300 monthly contributors listed at the foundation’s website — www.f4cp.com. The foundation has large, achievable goals for 2012 — help us accomplish them! Contribute today for your profession and most importantly, for the patients who will be visiting our clinics as they learn more about the value of chiropractic care. Yours in chiropractic,
Dr. Terry Schroeder
